Pricing FAQ

Questions teachers, librarians, and IT leads ask before they start a trial.

How long is the 30-day free trial, and do I need a credit card?

The trial is 30 calendar days of full-feature access across every plan tier. No credit card is required to start — you'll be prompted for billing details only if you choose to continue past day 30. You can cancel with one click from the admin console and we'll email a confirmation.

Can we change seat counts mid-year, or only at renewal?

School & District plans allow seat increases at any time, pro-rated to your renewal date. Seat decreases take effect at the next annual renewal so finance teams can plan a single budget cycle. Library System plans bill per branch and can add branches mid-term.

What compliance documentation can we share with our district's privacy officer?

Every paid plan includes a signed DPA, a COPPA school-authorization template, our SOC 2-aligned security overview, and the quarterly Transparency Report. Our architecture is COPPA, FERPA, and CIPA compliant by design — no behavioral tracking, no third-party ads, no autoplay redirects.

How does offline mode work, and which devices are supported?

Teachers curate a collection, and the MediaKidVids app on ChromeOS, iPad, Windows, and macOS syncs those videos for offline playback. School & District plans allow unlimited offline collections; Family plans allow up to 50 downloaded videos at a time. All downloads are encrypted and expire 30 days after the subscription ends.
